TradieCerts

Why TradieCerts exists

Every tradie in Australia needs a stack of certifications — White Card, First Aid, CPR, Working at Heights — and most of them expire. Finding a course shouldn't mean wading through 4,500+ RTO websites, each with a different layout, a different price, and a sales pitch where a price list should be.

The problem

Try searching "white card course melbourne" right now. You'll get a page of ads, a government register that looks like it was designed in 2003, and a dozen RTOs whose prices are hidden behind "Enquire now" buttons. That's the state of the industry. Tradies lose an hour of their day just to book a course they legally have to do.

We think that's absurd. Comparison sites exist for insurance, energy, mortgages, and laundry detergent. They should exist for mandatory compliance training too.

What we do

We aggregate course data from Registered Training Organisations across Australia and present it side-by-side. Price, duration, location, format, RTO code — in one table. If you click through to book, we may earn a commission. That pays for the site. It doesn't buy anyone a better ranking: see how we rank providers.

Where we are today

Small numbers. We're deliberately starting narrow — the big five certs in the big five cities — to get the data model and the user experience right before expanding to regional areas and niche tickets.

Who's behind this

TradieCerts is built and run by Adam Walduck out of Melbourne. It's a side project, not a venture-funded startup. That's by design — it means we can ship on our own timeline, say no to bad monetisation ideas, and keep the site lean and fast.

If you're an RTO and want to be listed, email us. If you're a tradie and you spot a wrong price, tell us — we'll fix it within 48 hours.
